How we approach pregnancy & postpartum care

This isn't about perfection, it's about building routines and fueling yourself for this new stage of life.

Here’s how we do it

We’ll create practical, balanced meals that support energy, blood sugar, and key nutrients for pregnancy and postpartum. Our approach blends structure with flexibility, so nutrition fits your life—not the other way around. Foundations are also extremely important if you are looking to conceive in the next six months.

From nausea and reflux to fatigue and mood changes, nutrition can make a big difference. We’ll use food, hydration, and gentle supplements to help you manage symptoms and feel more comfortable day to day.

After birth, your body’s needs shift dramatically. We’ll focus on replenishing nutrients, supporting hormones, and rebuilding energy to promote full recovery and prevent depletion.

If you’re breastfeeding and/or pumping, we’ll make sure your nutrition supports milk production, hydration, and stamina. Your body needs more during this time & getting proper energy can help you feel more balanced while you're giving so much of yourself.

We’ll help you create meal patterns that fit your new routine, prevent energy crashes, and sustain you through the physical and emotional demands of early parenthood.

Pregnancy and postpartum aren’t seasons you should navigate alone. We offer continuous support through every stage, from nourishing your body during pregnancy to rebuilding balance postpartum. You’ll have guidance that evolves with you, helping you feel supported, steady, and confident as your needs change.

Bailey

“I’d had tests and dismissive doctors telling me ‘You’re healthy,’ but I was in pain after every meal. My diet was already limited, and I felt a lot of shame around not sticking perfectly to an elimination plan. Plenish changed that. They ask about my lifestyle, history, and mindset—not just what I eat—and help me make sense of test results. Now, I feel more in control of food, and I have habits that have really helped me reclaim my approach to nutrition.”

“I had stomach pain for a very long time.
Eventually, I decided enough was enough.”

What supplements do you recommend during pregnancy?

Do you work with specific conditions?

Do you work with specific conditions?

Yes! Our dietitians support clients with pregnancy-related and postpartum concerns such as gestational diabetes, anemia, reflux, fatigue, and mood shifts.

If you have a specific concern that isn't listed, we can chat through it in a free consultation

What supplements do you recommend during pregnancy?

We’ll review your current prenatal and any additional nutrients (like iron, choline, omega-3s, or magnesium) based on your lab work, symptoms, and diet, so you’re not guessing or over-supplementing. We will only recommend what you need.

What are your practitioner's qualifications?

Our practitioners are Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionists (LDNs), Certified Nutrition Specialists (CNS), and Registered Dietitians (RDs). This means each person has a master's-level degree in nutrition. They also have undergone extensive training focused on their areas of specialization.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! We accept Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. If you plan on using insurance, please check with your insurance before booking a call to verify benefits. Most people pay $0 for their nutrition sessions through insurance.

For out-of-network, we can create a “super bill” for reimbursement. With this, you can coordinate with your insurance company to see what they will and will not reimburse.

Do you accept HSA and/or FSA payments?

Yes, we accept both HSA and FSA payments.

Do you work with clients who are trying to lose weight?

We don’t provide intentional weight loss services, and we don’t use the scale as a measure of progress. Weight changes can happen for many reasons such as hormone shifts, digestion, insulin resistance, medications, stress, and more.

Our role is to help you uncover and address those root causes, rather than focusing on the number on the scale.
