What conditions do you work with?

Our practitioners each have their own specialties. Across our team, we specialize in gut health, hormone health, fertility nutrition, pregnancy/postpartum nutrition, eating disorders, intuitive eating, autoimmune conditions, and cardiometabolic health, like high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes. We work with kids, teens, and adults.

What are your practitioner's qualifications?

Our practitioners are Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionists (LDNs), Certified Nutrition Specialists (CNS), and Registered Dietitians (RDs). This means each person has a master's-level degree in nutrition. They also have undergone extensive training focused on their areas of specialization.

What can I expect from sessions?

In our initial session, we spend a full hour getting to know you—your story, your health concerns, and your goals. From there, we create a personalized plan that we will break down into small, sustainable steps so you never feel overwhelmed with a list of things to do (we know, you already have a lot of things to do!). After that, we’ll continue meeting either weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs and preferences, to support you as you move forward.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! We accept Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. If you plan on using insurance, please check with your insurance before booking a call to verify benefits. Most people pay $0 for their nutrition sessions through insurance.

For out-of-network, we can create a “super bill” for reimbursement. With this, you can coordinate with your insurance company to see what they will and will not reimburse

What States can you see people in?

We can work with people and accept insurance in any state except North Carolina, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, & Ohio.

What are your cash pay rates?

Initial Appointment - $150
Follow-ups - $120

Do you accept HSA and/or FSA payments?

Yes, we accept both HSA and FSA payments.

Do you work with clients who are trying to lose weight?

We don’t provide intentional weight loss services, and we don’t use the scale as a measure of progress. Weight changes can happen for many reasons such as hormone shifts, digestion, insulin resistance, medications, stress, and more.

Our role is to help you uncover and address those root causes, rather than focusing on the number on the scale.

Weight changes can happen for many reasons like hormone shifts, digestion, insulin resistance, medications, stress, and more. Our role is to help you uncover and address those root causes, rather than focusing on the number on the scale.

We don’t do calorie counting, macro-based diets, or restrictive plans. Instead, we take a functional nutrition approach which involves looking at what’s driving your symptoms and building sustainable strategies to support your health from the inside out.

If your only goal is to lose weight, we’re not the right fit. But if you want to explore the why behind your symptoms and work toward lasting health changes, we’d be a great match.

Do you recommend supplements?

Yes, we do, but we always take a food-first approach. Our goal is for you to feel better without needing a cabinet full of pills to rely on for the rest of your life. That said, we recognize supplements can play a powerful role in supporting your health journey, especially when used strategically to help you rebalance and heal.

Do you provide any sort of clinical testing?

We use advanced testing when it makes sense for your care plan. This can include stool testing for GI concerns, DUTCH testing for hormones, Organic Acid Testing for mental health and nutrition insights, and micronutrient testing for a variety of concerns.

If we suspect that a test would give us helpful information, we’ll recommend it. We also provide a list of blood tests you can request from your doctor for specific conditions such as anxiety, depression, PCOS, high cholesterol, diabetes, and anemia.

Do you have in-person options?

Yes, we have limited in-person sessions available with select practitioners in: Navy Yard, DC at 150 I St SE Office 105 Washington, DC 20003.

Although this is an option for select conditions, most of our appointments are virtual.

What hours do you have available for appointments?

Availability varies by practitioner, but across our team we offer weekday appointments, Monday through Friday, from 7 AM – 7 PM EST, and Saturday 9 AM – 11 AM EST

How long do I need to work with you to see results?

It depends. Some clients start seeing changes in about 3 months, while others choose to work with us for a year or more. Since your symptoms didn’t show up overnight, the solution won’t either. We focus on real, lasting results, not quick fixes. Although we don’t have a commitment, we recommend planning for at least 3 months to start seeing sustained progress.

What is your cancellation policy?

We request 24 hours’ notice for non-emergent cancellations. Non-emergent cancellations within 24 hours will be charged the full session rate, so our clinicians can still be paid for their time. For emergency situations, the fee will be waived. We also offer a one time courtesy cancellation because sometimes life happens.
